Parking:

200m from house entrance; by prior arrangement, disabled visitors may be set down at the entrance.

Access:

Access to house - North front door with ramp opened for wheelchair users (please ask at ticket office entrance). Two steps at ticket office. One wheelchair avaliable in house. All ground floor accessible. Staircase to first floor; assistance may be required. Several chairs provided. NB On upper floors, floors are too highly polished for assistance dogs.
 

Access to park - 66 acres of level ground, nearly all accessible on tarmac path or fairly smooth grass.

The society was founded in March 1987 to bring together people with an interest in this historic house and park, to encourage a wider knowledge with talks and events, and to help English Heritage to preserve and enhance its amenities..

Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am-5pm

1 November - 31 March:
pre-booked guided tours
